Meet the Founder

Brian Walker is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with over two decades of experience practicing in high-acuity clinical environments. Throughout his career, he has provided anesthesia care across a wide range of surgical settings and has served in both clinical and leadership roles, including as Chief CRNA at a major medical center. In that role, he was responsible for overseeing anesthesia operations, supervising staff, and helping develop policies and procedures focused on patient safety and clinical performance.

In addition to his clinical work, Brian has experience in education and mentorship, having taught graduate-level pathophysiology and served as a nursing instructor. He has also worked directly with professionals navigating recovery and re-entry into practice through his involvement with structured peer assistance programs, where he supported individuals working to maintain accountability and rebuild their careers.

His interest in this area is informed by both professional experience and personal insight into the challenges of long-term recovery.

Brian is currently a Juris Doctor candidate at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, where his studies focus on professional licensing, compliance, and risk management. His combined clinical and legal perspective provides a unique understanding of the challenges professionals face in maintaining long-term stability in safety-sensitive roles.

He founded Recovery Guard to provide a structured, transparent way for professionals to maintain accountability, demonstrate reliability, and support long-term career stability beyond formal monitoring programs.
